My name is Tom Leimkuhler, Director, Logistics, Inventory, & Distribution for Mazda for Mazda Motors USA. I was recently approached by Mach 1 Air Services and asked to write a letter or recommendation in their perusal of developing a similar program for Ford Motor Company.
Mach 1 approached Mazda 18 months ago with the intent of offering our service parts operations and dealership network with on time delivery, reduced claims, and enhanced customer service functions such as providing reports. From the beginning, Mach 1 took the time to listen to our needs and followed up with at least 2 tours to visit the dealership network on the Hawaiian Islands. A standardized operating procedure was then developed to ensure a systematic process worked for all parties involved in the parts distribution process.
Since our launch approximately 1 year ago, Mach 1 has performed impeccably in these service areas which attributed to an overall improvement in the Mazda Service Parts Operations.
